DIVING IN DAHAB FAQ
Equipment
While we at Liquid Adventures Dahab can supply you with a full set of quality dive equipment, we understand that you may wish to bring your own kit. If so, keep in mind:
Dahab has mostly shore diving so please ensure you have fins and boots, as slip-on fins are not appropriate.
We exclusively use aluminum tanks equipped with DIN valves. However, all of our tanks can be adapted to suit your yoke-first stage.
Tanks and weights are included in the cost of all dives, so there is no need to bring your own. Please note that the water in the Gulf of Aqaba on average is more salty than other popular dive destinations, so please don’t be surprised if you end up diving with more weight than you are used to.
Medical
Even though you will probably never need them, it is comforting to know that Dahab has two hyperbaric chambers, one of them being brand new, having been installed in 2014. Our local doctors are well trained in diving-related injuries and illnesses.
If you do not have diving insurance and would like to buy some, please feel free to contact us as we can help you to arrange it through the Divers Alert Network (DAN).
