Dahab does not have its own airport, however, we are only 100km from the Sharm el Sheikh International Airport. Another nearby airport is the Taba International Airport which is around a 2 hour drive from Dahab.
For a stay in Egypt you will need a visa. However, there are more than one type of Egyptian Visa depending on your nationality and the areas you plan to visit while in Egypt. For most European nationalities a free Egyptian visa can be given to tourists on arrival, however, this is suitable for those who plan to stay only in Dahab and the surrounding areas. As mentioned above to reach Dahab you will generally do so through either the Sharm El Sheikh or Taba airport. To make your visit run smoothly we operate airport transfers in our own mini-vans, we can collect you from your arrival airport and have you safely in your chosen accommodation with no trouble at all. We can also arrange transfers from Cairo and elsewhere in Egypt if you require.
Many airlines fly directly to Sharm el Sheikh International Airport from major cities in Europe. For those who don’t mind making a stop-over, a cheaper option is Turkish Airlines or Egyptair who offer cheap flights to Sharm el Sheikh generally with a stop in Istanbul or Cairo.
In the diving center and in most beachside restaurants you can find free wifi. The quality of the network in the dive center is generally good. In the restaurants in the center of Dahab the connection may not always be fast or reliable.
